Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiation RN

Location: Hermiston, Oregon
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

The Interventional Radiology/Cardiology RN provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing invasive interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, cardiac catheterization, and other minimally invasive interventions. This role involves collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include acting as a patient advocate, directing and supervising assigned personnel, and potentially being on call for the Interventional Unit as needed.


Qualifications

Education

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Desired: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice

Experience

  • Required: At least 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab (higher value between 1 year general critical care/cath lab/IR experience and 3 years IR/Cath Lab experience)
  • Desired: Conscious sedation training, monitor role experience

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current RN license in Oregon
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Preferred: Certifications specific to clinical specialty (e.g., RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale), IV certification

Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to provide care considering patient's age-specific, cultural, physical, and psychosocial wellbeing
  • Experience with infusion pumps, PCA pumps, and other medical equipment
  • Computer literacy for documentation and communication

Other

  • Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse populations
