Job Opportunity: EP Lab Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Towson, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks (interpreted as 13 weeks)
Start Date: 02/23/2026
Shift: Days, 4x10 hour shifts (06:30 AM - 5:00 PM), Monday through Thursday
On-Call: Yes, 1-2 times per month on Fridays (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week with call requirement

Specialty & Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab / EP Lab
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years experience with proficient scrub skill set
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit: 2 Cath Labs, 1 Hybrid OR
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric

Procedures & Equipment

• Procedures performed include:

  • IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
  • Rotablator
  • Shockwave
  • Structural heart procedures (PFO, TAVR, MitralClip, Watchman)
• Equipment/Documentation systems:

  • GE Innova IGS
  • Phillips
  • GE MacLab
  • EPIC
  • IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound)
  • FFR (Fractional Flow Reserve)

Licensure & Certifications Required

• Maryland RN State License
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal search, education verification, and various federal/state screenings
• Drug testing: Negative 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (instant tests not accepted)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including Latex screening
• Fit mask testing (N95) within 1 year prior to start
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (2025-26 season)
  • Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) if working with children or specific units
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol, updated annually
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers or vaccinations
  • Hepatitis B titer or declination (series not accepted)
• Facility-specific documents such as confidentiality agreement, badge photo, respiratory protection questionnaire, and job description acknowledgment

References & Work History

• Two supervisory references required within 1 year of start (one must be a supervisor/manager, the other can be a charge RN)
• Employment history verification for previous 5-7 years required (attestation accepted if necessary)
• Agency application/resume must be completed within 30 days of start

• Holidays are required as scheduled
• Local travel accepted at a reduced rate
• Candidates must complete competency exams and other facility-required training as applicable
• Facility requires compliance with Maryland State Exclusions List screening within 30 days of start
