Radiation Therapy Job Opportunity

Location: Bangor, Maine

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule Options:

  • 5 days of 8-hour shifts OR
  • 4 days of 9-hour shifts with 1 half-day on the 5th shift
• Work Days: No weekends, no call
• Holiday Coverage: Rotated among techs
• Schedule: 4-week schedules, shift specifics vary based on need
• Floating: As needed, covering linacs

Facility Overview

• Level II Trauma Center serving 2/3 of the state
• Certified Stroke Center
• 411 beds
• Equipment includes three Varian TrueBeam Linacs and 1 Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT Simulator
• EMR system: Mosaiq

Patient Population

• Care Areas: Outpatient & Inpatient
• Primarily Adult/Geriatrics, very few Pediatrics
• Average patients seen per day: 90 across three linacs

Licensure & Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (T) certification required
• Maine State license for Radiation Therapy

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Oncology experience preferred, especially with Mosaiq and/or Varian equipment
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Skills & Technology

• Preferred experience with Mosaiq EMR
• Preferred experience with Varian TrueBeam Linacs

Orientation

• 1 to 1.5 weeks, depending on experience and comfort level

• Scrub color: Any solid professional color or facility-provided

This position is suitable for Radiation Therapists with at least 1 year of experience, including those new to travel assignments. The role offers a supportive environment with flexible scheduling and no weekend or call requirements.
