Job Opportunity: PT Inpatient Rehab

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Physical Therapy)
  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/day)
  • Start Date: March 9
  • Setting: Acute Care preferred
  • Patient Diagnoses: Orthopedics, transplant, med surg, neurology, ICU
  • Special Requirements: Must have acute care experience
  • Years of Experience Required: 1 year (minimum)
  • First Timers Accepted: Yes
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC certified
    • State license in hand

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Flu vaccine required (seasonal vaccination/documentation mandatory during flu season)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past year (or annual questionnaire if prior positive history)
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
  • N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start and updated annually (client will complete on-site if needed)

Background & Compliance

  • Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Education verification of highest degree required by position
  • Employment application with 7 years of work history (no gaps)
  • Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience in the past 3 years
  • Skills checklist and competency exams required prior to start and updated annually

Additional Notes

  • Must comply with facility-specific modules and attestations prior to start
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually
  • Medication, pharmacology, and competency exams required with minimum passing scores
  • No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
