Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Call Requirements:
- Weekday call from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM next day
- Weekend call from 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Monday (1-2 weekends call during 6-week schedule)
- Float Requirements: EP Lab coverage
- Number of Openings: 1
Experience & Certifications
- Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2+ years as a Cath Lab RN (highest required years of experience)
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and valid Kentucky RN License
- Preferred Experience:
- Structural heart experience
- Scrubbing or monitoring experience
- EMR Systems: McKesson Cardiology and Cerner (online training available; candidates without prior experience in these systems will be considered)
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab, 3rd Floor, Heart Hospital Building
- Number of Beds: 6 procedure rooms
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 (procedure room, one case at a time)
- Equipment: GE X-ray systems
Candidate Profile
- Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills
- Clear and concise communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment

- Hospital provides scrubs
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
