Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab RN
- Required Years of Experience: 2+ years in Cath Lab nursing (highest requirement found)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Call Requirements:
- Weekday call from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM next day
- Weekend call from 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Monday (1-2 weekends call during 6-week schedule)
- Float Requirements: EP Lab coverage
- Number of Openings: 1
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- Kentucky RN License
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab, 3rd Floor
- Number of Beds: 6 procedure rooms
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 in procedure room (one case at a time)
- Equipment: GE X-ray systems
- EMR Systems: McKesson Cardiology & Cerner (online training available; candidates without prior experience in these systems will be considered)
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years working as a Cath Lab RN required
- Experience with McKesson and Cerner preferred but not mandatory
- Preferred: Structural heart experience, scrubbing or monitoring experience
- Must be detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills
- Clear and concise communication skills essential
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
