Job Opportunity: RN (Registered Nurse)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (200+ beds)
• Minimum 1 year previous Medical Surgical RN experience (higher value confirmed)
• Active North Dakota or Compact RN License
• Active BLS certification (AHA required)
• EPIC electronic medical record experience
• Experience working in a busy level one trauma center
• Willing and able to float to any Medical Surgical unit across 3 locations in Fargo
• Prior travel experience is highly preferred (not explicitly required)

Job Details

• 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Shift schedules may rotate every few weeks between days and nights depending on unit needs
• Self-scheduling allowed but days off guaranteed only as per contract; shift trades encouraged to maintain unit balance
• Floating to Medical Surgical Units at Broadway, SMCF, and South University if needed
• Unit census: 32 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio:

  • Days: 1:4-5
  • Nights: 1:5-6

Unit Information

• Adult Trauma, Medical, and Surgical patients with a wide range of needs including Trauma/Orthopedic Trauma
• Certified by The Joint Commission (TJC) for Hip Fracture Program
• Use of EPIC computer charting, AcuDose, and other inpatient equipment
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Additional Notes

• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Local candidates living 60 to 80 miles away may be considered with adjusted pay rates
• Must disclose if previously employed by the facility; a 6-month gap is required before rehire

This position is ideal for experienced Med Surg RNs comfortable in a fast-paced trauma center environment with flexibility to float across units.
