Job Opportunity: Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Dubuque, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Float pool position covering General Med Surg, Rehab, and Behavioral Health units
• Patient types include Med Surg, Rehab, Behavioral Health
• Unit bed size: 63
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4-5
• Experience administering Heparin and Insulin required
• EMR system: EPIC

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of experience in Med Surg, Med Tele, or IMCU capacity (highest required years of experience)
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract within the last 12 months (prior travel experience required)
• Skills checklist specific to Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele discipline required

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required at time of submission
• Driver’s license required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate highly preferred

Additional Information

• Professional references or performance evaluations from within the last 24 months preferred
• Must be willing to float across General Med Surg, Rehab, and Behavioral Health units

This position is ideal for experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RNs with prior travel contract experience and required certifications looking for a temporary assignment in Iowa.
