Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiovascular Surgery

Location: Webster, Texas
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

Unit: CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
Number of Beds: 3 Operating Rooms
Number of Staff: 26
Shift Details:
- Day Shift: 4 RNs and 4 Surgical Technologists daily
- Night Shift: None
Patient Ratios: 1:1
EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiovascular Surgery
Required Years of Experience: 1 year
Must Have:
- Open heart and vascular surgery experience
- Operating room experience
Preferred:
- Additional open heart and/or vascular experience

Typical Procedures Performed

CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
Valve Replacement
Carotid Endarterectomy
ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
Angiogram
Fistulagram
Fistula Creation
Lower extremity Bypass

Certifications Required

Registered Nurse License
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Work Environment and Additional Details

Fast-paced environment
Floating Area: Main OR
Dress Code: Scrubs provided by unit
On Call: Average 4-5 days per month, including 1 weekend per month

Contract Length

13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
