Job Description

The Medical Technologist is responsible for the efficient planning, directing, and accurate provision of all laboratory testing in their assigned area of licensure. This role requires critical thinking, judgment, and leadership in laboratory technology, adhering to laboratory policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and recognized testing techniques.

Requirements

• Specialty: Medical Technologist
• Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years recent experience as a Medical Technologist
• Certifications:

  • ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist (required)
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
• Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in blood bank, MTS gel & tube methods
  • Experience with Beckman Coulter hematology analyzers (520 and 690)
  • Manual differential, body fluid cell count and differential procedures
  • Werfen Top coagulation instrumentation
  • Urine microscopic procedures

Work Schedule

• Shift: Wednesday through Tuesday, 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• Rotation: 7 days on, 7 days off

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Must submit required certifications and documentation as part of the application process.
• Experience working in a community hospital setting is queried but not mandatory.
