Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Okeechobee, Florida
Employment Type: Travel

Job Details

• Specialty: Occupational Therapy (OT)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient adult care
• Typical Shifts: Day shift only
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 7-10 patients per therapist
• Staffing: 2 Occupational Therapists, 3 outpatient COTAs, 2 inpatient COTAs
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Equipment Used: Standard inpatient and outpatient equipment including estim, ultrasound, infrared
• Call Requirements: None

Typical Procedures

• Outpatient evaluations
• 10/30 day progress reports
• Discharge notes
• Focus on upper extremity orthopedic and neurological cases
• Inpatient evaluations (preferred)
• Main expertise needed: typing reports to support OT care

Required Qualifications

• Occupational Therapist degree valid for Florida
• Occupational Therapist License for Florida
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy (specialty)

Additional Preferences

• Experience with inpatient evaluations
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Previous travel experience is preferred but not explicitly required

• Dress code: Light gray scrubs
• Ideal candidate availability: Tuesday through Saturday, working both inpatient and outpatient adult populations
