Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details

- Weekends required: 3 weekend shifts per contract
- Call required: 1-2 weeknight call shifts per week (Mon-Fri 7 PM - 7 AM) and 3-4 weekend call shifts per month (Sat-Sun 7 AM - 7 AM)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA or ARC)
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Maryland
- First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience not required)
Additional Requirements
- Must complete criminal background check within 90 days prior to start
- Drug screening within 90 days prior to start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform job duties without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunization and health documentation including:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within last year (or annual questionnaire if prior positive)
- Tdap vaccine within last 10 years preferred
- Documentation of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and varicella immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
- Medication, pharmacology, and competency exams required within 3 years of start date, including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam specific to Cath Lab specialty
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
Summary
This is a travel contract position for a Cath Lab RN in Baltimore, MD, requiring 2 years of Cath Lab and IR experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and weekend and call coverage. First-time travelers are welcome. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks with a 4x10 schedule and significant call responsibilities. Comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements must be met prior to start.
