Job Description

• Provide patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of clinical experience in nursing (higher value used: 5 years)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
• Clinical Skills:

  • Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience required
  • Knowledge of central lines required
  • Preferred wound care experience
• Licensure:

  • North Carolina RN license or multi-state compact RN license

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Work setting: LTAC/Telemetry unit
• Shift accountability and leadership responsibilities expected.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with strong critical thinking and leadership skills, comfortable working in a LTAC/Telemetry environment with ventilator and trach patients.
