Job Description

The Medical Technologist is responsible for the efficient planning, directing, and accurate provision of all laboratory testing in their assigned area of licensure. This role requires critical thinking, judgment, and leadership in laboratory technology, practicing in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and recognized testing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing in assigned area of licensure
• Utilize blood bank, MTS gel & tube methods
• Operate Beckman Coulter hematology analyzers (520 and 690), manual differential, body fluid cell count and differential procedures
• Use Werfen Top coagulation instrumentation and perform urine microscopic procedures

Shift:

• 7 days on, 7 days off
• 10-hour shifts

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist
• ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Experience with blood bank, MTS gel & tube methods
• Experience with Beckman Coulter hematology analyzers (520 and 690), manual differential, body fluid cell count and differential procedures
• Experience with Werfen Top coagulation instrumentation and urine microscopic procedures

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role.
• Candidates must meet all certification and experience requirements to be considered.
• This is a travel assignment with a 13-week duration.
