Unit Description

• Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
• 8-bed high acuity unit providing complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients
• Receives patients from Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care areas requiring specialized cardiac care
• Collaborative multidisciplinary care team focused on optimal patient outcomes
• Safe and comfortable patient environment

Work Schedule & Requirements

• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Holidays as required
• Every other weekend shift
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensure: Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
• Certifications:

  • AHA ACLS
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA NIH or Red Cross equivalent
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience preferred
  • Will consider 18 months experience under highest professional license
  • Must have at least 1 recent year of experience in cardiac specialty (CICU or CVICU)
