Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse (RN) - Arizona

• Close to Flagstaff and Phoenix

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: ER RN
• Shift: 3x12 hour shifts
• 36 hour guarantee per week
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:3 or 1:4
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Average patient volume: ~100 patients per day
• ER setup:

  • 30 private ER rooms including a 6-room Emergency Department Observation Unit (EDOU)
  • 6 fast track beds with PA support for minor/non-urgent cases
  • 1 seclusion room plus 5 monitored rooms
• Support staff: 5 techs during peak hours
• Common patient types: trauma, cardiac, neurological, and others
• EMR system: Allscripts - Sunrise
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Scrub color: anything except all black (scrubs not provided)
• Night shifts are 12 hours

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license or compact license
• 2 years of RN experience (ER experience preferred)
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • PALS (AHA)
  • TNCC

Prior Travel Experience

• Not explicitly required

This position is ideal for ER nurses with at least 2 years of experience looking to work in a Level IV Trauma Center with a high patient volume in a scenic Arizona location.
