Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - OR (Travel Position)

Location: Winchester, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

Seeking a CVOR Scrub Tech with 2+ years of experience. Preference given to candidates with cardiac experience in first and second scrub assisting. The role involves floating to the Main OR for vascular and thoracic cases.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (4x10-hour shifts)
• Rotating days off per week
• On-call: 12-13 shifts within a 4-week period, including weekends and holidays

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Scrub Tech experience
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records system
• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA only)
  • NBSTSA Certificate
  • Virginia State License (CST/ORT)

Job Responsibilities & Environment

• Float to Main OR for vascular and thoracic cases
• Use of specialized cardiac equipment including:

  • ECMO
  • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
  • Maze & Cryoablation devices
• Patient population: Adult
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Unit size: Small (1-2 beds)

Preferred Experience

• Cardiac experience in first and second scrub assisting
