Job Opportunity: Special Procedures/IR Tech
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Job Summary
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain exams and alleviate anxiety.
- Understand patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control.
- Supervise students providing patient care and treatment as part of their training.
Job Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images meeting or exceeding department guidelines.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education.
- Provide excellent customer service in all interactions.
- Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality.
- Provide age-appropriate care, including communication, safety, patient teaching, and understanding physical/functional growth and development.
- Use imaging equipment, PACS, and EPIC systems to process and retain images and exam information.
- Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of interventional radiology experience.
- License requirement: Must hold the appropriate license for Special Procedures/IR Tech.
