Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Galion, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an ICU Registered Nurse with cardiac experience for a travel/contract position. The role requires flexibility to float to all campuses and includes call responsibilities.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience
• Cardiac experience required, including post cath intervention, balloon pump, and Impella
• Prior travel experience is required

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Ohio RN license or compact RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to float to all campuses
• Call required
• No holiday requests or holiday week time off will be approved
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Background checks including 7-year criminal background, fingerprinting (OH BCI and FBI), EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Physical exam within 12 months, updated annually
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Immunizations and titers: TDAP, MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months, updated annually
• Fit mask testing required prior to start
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for flu season
• Completion of facility-specific onboarding, competency exams, and safety training

Important Notes

• No holiday or holiday week time off requests will be approved; candidates may work some holidays without guaranteed days off
• Candidates must complete required Healthstream and Epic modules by specified deadlines
• Skills check-offs for specific competencies will be completed onsite during the first week
• Respirator medical evaluation questionnaire and COVID exemption forms may be required depending on candidate status

This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs with cardiac skills and prior travel contract experience who are flexible and able to meet comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
