Position Details

• Floating: Yes, will float within scope to 3 nearby hospitals (within 20 miles)
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Locals Accepted: Yes, locals receive same rate
• Orientation: Next applicable orientation date is 3-4 weeks out

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room (ER)
• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Certifications (must have at time of submission unless otherwise noted)

• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS Stroke Certification (must obtain prior to start)
• Epic experience at level 3 or 4 required (time-sensitive modules must be prioritized once confirmed)

Required Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Florida (Primary source verification required within 30 days of start)
• Pending licenses are not accepted

Compliance and Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting accepted nationwide)
• Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (no FL Medical Marijuana card accepted)
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (annual updates required)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Seasonal Influenza vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 2 years of start (required for travel positions)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) administered during orientation (2 attempts allowed)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Completion of online onboarding modules prior to start (must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Smoke-free facility: all travelers must be nicotine-free (negative nicotine test required)
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront with application; late RTO requests likely not approved

• Floating to multiple hospital locations within 20 miles as needed

This position is ideal for ER Registered Nurses with at least 2 years of ER experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment with EPIC charting and multiple certifications. Prior travel experience is not required.
