Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Oncology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Anderson, South Carolina
Shift: Nights
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Registered Nurse (Med Surg/Tele Float)
- Float Requirement: Must float within scope to other Medical Surgical units as needed
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
- First-time travelers accepted
- Locals accepted
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required (ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted; RQI certs allowed)
- ACLS and PALS as required (preferred but not explicitly mandatory)
- TNCC preferred but not required for ER
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for South Carolina with primary source verification
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- International background check if lived outside the US in last 7 years
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines
- Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- Drug screening (9 panel) within last 12 months
- Annual fit mask test (N95 or equivalent)
- Other Requirements:
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Complete employment application/resume
- Photo for badge (no visible nose piercing)
- Completion of facility-specific online orientation and acknowledgment
- Color blindness test (Ishihara) required
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience not required
- Floating to other Medical Surgical units is mandatory
- Weekend shifts every other weekend required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Locals accepted
