Job Opportunity: Sonographer (Ultrasound)

Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform all non-invasive imaging procedures based on certification:

  • Cardiac Certification: Echocardiograms, TEE’s, TTE’s, stress echo, structural heart program imaging, etc.
  • Vascular Certification: Upper/lower venous duplexes, arterial duplexes, dialysis graphs, venous insufficiencies, pulse volume recordings, ankle brachial index, etc.
• Properly bill procedures and prioritize patient scheduling to ensure timely completion.
• Obtain necessary patient information prior to testing and provide courteous communication to patients and families.
• Perform imaging procedures within established guidelines and timeframes.
• Notify medical staff if images deviate from normal findings.
• Document procedures in patient charts to inform physicians.
• Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures to assist in diagnosis.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas.
• Complete accurate documentation through EPIC for billing purposes.
• Maintain patient and unit confidentiality at all times.
• Work 8-hour rotating shifts including call and weekends.
• Scrub color: Gray.

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA) Certification
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Verification
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) Verification
• Appropriate certification includes one or more of the following:

  • Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
  • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)

Experience

• Specialty: Ultrasound - Cardiac or Vascular
• Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum experience consistent with certification requirements.
