Job Description

• Modality: Radiation Therapist
• Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Shift Details:

  • Standard shifts are 8.5 hours with a 30-minute lunch break
  • 10-hour shifts during holiday weeks to ensure 40 guaranteed hours
  • No weekends or on-call required
• First week onboarding hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Dress Code: Scrubs (black pants, any top)

Required Qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Ohio State License for Radiation Therapist
  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy Technology
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Experience:

  • Must be fully competent with Varian TruBeam linacs, Halcyon, and Aria version 15
  • Preferred knowledge of Vision RT or OSMS (not required)
• Skills:

  • TrueBeam, Halcyon, Aria experience required
  • VisionRT experience is a plus but not mandatory

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Radiation Therapy / Radiology / Cardiology

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (must be completed prior to start)
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring

• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tdap vaccine (adult dose)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
  • TB questionnaire
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (declination acceptable)
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer (medical exemptions reviewed)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
• Drug testing and immunization requirements apply unless fully remote

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership)

• Orientation and competency exams as applicable
• Facility-specific policies including dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance must be reviewed and signed
