Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Highlands, North Carolina

Unit Overview

• Unit: Rehab Services
• Setting: Critical Care access hospital with predominantly swing bed patients
• Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: Approximately one patient per hour
• Staffing: On average, 2 CNAs per shift; rehab tech available 20 hours per week
• Equipment: All lift equipment available; large rehab gym with various equipment; new rehab gym includes fully functioning kitchen and laundry setup
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Floating Policy: May float to Eckerd Living Center (same building) if needed
• Patient Experience Requirement: Prefer minimum 1 year of experience

Job Description

• Evaluate and treat patients admitted to the hospital with a strong rehab focus
• Emphasis on treatment rather than evaluation only
• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and treatments
• Ability to provide therapy outdoors

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license for North Carolina
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified / not required
