Travel RN - ICU Opportunity

Location: Houston, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: CVICU, Floor 3, South Tower
Number of Beds: 22
Staff: 87 total
Day Shift Staffing: 14 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Tech
Night Shift Staffing: 14 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Tech
Patient Ratios: 2:1 and 1:1
Equipment: Vents, CRRT, Impella, ECMO
EMR System: Meditech Expanse

Required Skills & Experience

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in ICU
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year in specialty
Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Certification
Required License: Registered Nurse License

Preferred Skills

Experience with Impella and ECMO devices

Typical Procedures

Intubation
Cannulation

Work Environment & Expectations

Floating Areas: CVIMU & Medical IMU
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Weekend Shifts: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per month
Unit Culture: ICARE values and standard ICU guidelines
Personality Fit: Upbeat and flexible
