Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: La Plata, Maryland

Shift: Nights, 3 shifts of 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend and holidays as scheduled

Job Description

• Pediatric RRT experience required
• Patient population includes Neonates, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Floating within the specialty as needed
• No on-call required

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Maryland state license in-hand (CRT or RRT)
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience (highest required years of experience)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA approved)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred/required as applicable

Experience Requirements

• 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy specialty
• First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)

Work Schedule

• Night shifts, 3x12 hour shifts (7 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as scheduled

Additional Requirements & Compliance

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and state-specific exclusions
• Drug screening (negative 9 or 10 panel including fentanyl) within 30-45 days prior to start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit testing for N95 respirators within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • TB testing (QGOLD, TSPOT, or 2-step PPD) with annual updates
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccination/declination as applicable)
  • Tdap (required for units working with children)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for flu season
• COVID vaccination not currently required but documentation or declination collected for tracking
• Two supervisory references within 1 year of start
• Employment application/resume within 30 days of start
• Verification of previous 5 years of work history

Notes

• Floating within respiratory specialty may be required
• No on-call duties
• Time-sensitive facility-specific documents and agreements must be completed prior to start
• Compliance with facility dress code and confidentiality agreements required
