Job Description

• Outpatient physical therapy position with adult patient population.
• Experience with diagnoses including Parkinson’s, stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), and gait/balance dysfunction.
• Expected to manage at least 9 patient cases per day.
• No call, weekends, or holiday shifts required.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
• Facility accepts first-time travelers.
• Must be fully vaccinated including COVID booster.

Required Experience & Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required.
• Prior travel experience not required.
• New Jersey Physical Therapy license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (AHA or RQI accepted).
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC certifications may be required depending on unit (verify if applicable).
• CEUs related to stroke and trauma care required annually for certain specialties.
• Pass/Fail competency exams (e.g., Dysrhythmia/EKG, Medication/Pharmacology) may be required depending on role.
• State license primary source verification within 30 days of start.

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (no declinations accepted).
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
• Physical exam or "Fit for Work" statement within 12 months of start.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start.
• Drug screening (10-panel urine drug screen) within 30 days of start.
• Immunization verification including MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer preferred).
• Background check covering past 7 years required prior to start.
• Photo for badge (passport style) required.

• Travel badge (RTLS) may be issued with a fee.
• Various facility-specific documents and attestations must be completed within 48 hours of signing.
• References and employment verification for the past 2 years required.
• Skills checklist and employment application/resume required.

This position offers a structured outpatient therapy role with a focus on neurological and balance disorders, suitable for PTs with solid outpatient experience and NJ licensure, including those new to travel assignments.
