Job Opportunity: OR Tech (Surgical Technician)

Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• On-call requirement per week
• One weekend call shift per month

Required Qualifications

• Must be an AST Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
• Current, valid license/certification verification dated within 30 days of start
• Fit test completed and documented
• COVID-19 vaccine with booster proof (or approved declination/exemption)
• Proof of MMR vaccination or immunity
• Hepatitis B vaccination series started prior to start date
• Influenza vaccine or approved declination/exemption (for current flu season)
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive, per state requirements)
• Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
• Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work (within last year)
• 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)

• Completion of Trinity Health professional forms including:

  • Code of Conduct
  • I9 Employment Eligibility
  • Confidentiality and Security Agreement
  • Integrity and Audit Services Form
  • Conflict of Interest Disclosure
  • Criminal Background Check (7 years, federal, state, county)
  • Education Verification (degree or diploma/GED)
  • EPLS and OIG Exclusion Checks (within 30 days)
  • Joint Commission CORE Exam (within 1 year)
  • National Sex Offender Registry check (within 30 days)
  • System Access Form (completed 1 week before start)
  • State-specific CORI check (Massachusetts only)
  • OFAC Sanctions Check (within 30 days)
• Trinity Skills Checklist (provided by agency)
• Resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), and 2 professional references
