Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Call Requirements: None
Weekends: 4 shifts per month

Unit Information

Unit: Med Surg 3E (3rd Floor, 3 East Building)
Number of Beds: 28
Staff: 32 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
Day Shift Staff: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
Night Shift Staff: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
Equipment: Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, Telemetry
EMR System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license for Texas
BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in Med Surg specialty

Preferred Qualifications

3 or more years of nursing experience
Experience in epilepsy care

Additional Information

No routine procedures performed on unit
Ideal personality traits: Open to feedback, owner mentality
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with St. David’s logo
No on-call required
