Description

Job Opportunity: Echo Tech - Radiology

Location: San Antonio, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit & Work Details

  • Unit: Non-Invasive Cardiology / Cardiac Ultrasound
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Weekend Work: Yes
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
  • Call Requirements: To be discussed during interview
  • Floating: Required as needed (candidates will be informed of the floating policy during interview)
  • Workload: Approximately 75-80 procedures per day, mostly portable exams

Equipment & Systems

  • Philips IE33 and Epiq CVX ultrasound machines
  • Documentation system: Meditech

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hospital experience in echocardiography (higher of 1 or 2 years required)
  • Ability to complete echocardiograms independently
  • Knowledge of anatomy and disease processes
  • Active RCS or RDCS certification (ARDMS required)
  • BLS certification

Preferred Skills

  • Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
  • Stress Echoes
  • Vascular ultrasound
  • Experience with Meditech documentation system

Dress Code & Appearance

  • Scrubs: Sage tops and black bottoms
  • Nails: Clean and healthy
  • Hair: Neat and clean, no extreme styles or colors
  • Facial hair: Clean and neatly trimmed
  • Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; exceptions addressed individually
  • Piercings: Only ear piercings allowed; other visible piercings prohibited

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be prepared to float to other units as needed
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
