Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Kingwood, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)

Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
- Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hour day shifts, weekdays, every other weekend, float
- Unit Profile: Average 0.2 patients per day
- Start Date: ASAP
- EMR System: CPSI
- Scrubs: Not provided; colors allowed are wine and/or burgundy
- Blocked Schedule: Not offered
Experience & Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years in ICU nursing
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
- Certifications Required:
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Certifications Preferred:
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- Skills Required:
- Conscious sedation
- Telemetry
- Ventilator management
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Candidates must submit the following prior to start:
- Candidate profile (work history)
- Specialty-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
- Minimum 2 clinical or charge nurse references within the past 2 years
- RN License verification (recently pulled)
- COVID vaccine or declination documentation
- All required certifications on file (no pending certificates allowed)
Background & Health Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check (updated annually) covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- E-Verify and other federal background checks (updated every contract renewal)
- Education verification
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (initial and annual updates)
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually (facility may provide onsite testing if needed)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred within 10 years)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Drug screening: 10-panel within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 13 - Apr 30)
- COVID vaccine or declination required
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of Care Learning modules prior to start (login info provided once compliant)
- Completion of any required facility orientation and safety training
- Photo for badge prior to clearance
- Compliance with dress code (wine and/or burgundy scrubs)
- Parking information provided for review
Additional Notes
- Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
- ReadySet (RS) surveys and other health assessment paperwork may be required depending on facility
- Cerner EMR training modules are NOT required for this facility
