Unit and Work Environment

• Unit: MS/Tele Unit (assigned at time of offer)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:7
• Floating: Required to float within skillset
• Acute Care Experience: Must have worked in acute care within the past 6 months
• Scrub Color: Navy blue and white combinations

Required Qualifications

Licenses & Certifications

• Active New York RN license (NY is not a compact state)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required by unit
• Other certifications as required by unit: PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification
• State license verification and NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start

Clinical Skills

• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response (dysrhythmia interpretation/management, Rapid Response/Code team activation)
• IV therapy/phlebotomy (peripheral line care/management)
• Oxygen administration (nasal cannula, tanks), non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions

Experience

• Must have recent acute care experience (within past 6 months)
• Years of specialty experience not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years typical for MS/Tele RN roles

Prior Travel Experience

• Not required; first-time travelers accepted

Documentation and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Education verification and foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Immunizations/vaccinations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccination or declination
• Drug screening within 30 days of start
• Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year
• COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required
• References and employment verification as required

Additional Notes

• Charting experience with EPIC required
• Must submit scheduling requests at time of submission
• Client may cancel up to three shifts during contract without penalty
