Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

• Work in a high-volume advanced GI procedural setting with 6-7 procedure rooms and 28 pre/post procedure bays.
• Average 20-30 cases per day including EGD, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, stone management, GI bleed cases, both inpatient and outpatient.
• Provide versatile preoperative and Phase II recovery nursing care.
• Manage 2-3 patients during a 30-45 minute recovery period before discharge or return to inpatient rooms.
• Responsibilities include advanced airway management, IV skills, post-anesthesia care, procedural sedation, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Use EPIC EMR system.
• Charge nurse available on each shift.
• Scheduled Monday through Friday, no weekends, no call, no floating.
• Orientation: 1 week pre/post orientation, 4 shifts of 9 hours (7:00 AM - 4:30 PM), no call during orientation.
• Must provide own scrubs; no specific color required.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that application process has been initiated.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Must be drug-free and able to pass a negative drug screen.
• Strong proficiency in IV skills, airway management, procedural sedation, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Additional Notes

• No weekend, holiday, or call requirements.
• No floating to other units.
• Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians living within 50 miles.
• Orientation hours (12 hours) are non-billable.
