Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health RN

Location: Putnam, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a Psychiatric Inpatient Program. The RN will be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned psychiatric patients.

Responsibilities

Assess health status of patients and families through comprehensive health history and physical examination.
Initiate therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations, and laboratory exams; interpret findings and adjust care plans accordingly.
Educate and counsel patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses.
Document findings and care plans in patient medical records.
Provide interventions to ensure a safe environment and evaluate their effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Connecticut.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
