Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM), with possible changes during interview
Alternate Shift Option: 4x12 hour shifts (48 hours) also available
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Medical Surgical)
First-time Travelers: Not accepted
On-Call: As needed
Weekend Requirement: As needed; weekend block schedule may be considered but not guaranteed
Local Candidates: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule applies)
Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
Large Hospital Experience: Preferred

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing, with experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience working with Pediatric patients
Experience working with Neonate patients
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients

Additional Information

Scheduling: No accommodation for block schedules except possible weekend blocks
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
Photo for Badge: Must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, no filters, taken within last 6 months)
Travel Experience: Prior travel experience is required (first-time travelers not accepted)

This position is ideal for experienced Medical Surgical RNs with prior travel contract experience seeking a night shift travel assignment in a large hospital setting.
