Job Opportunity: ICU Travel Nurse (RN)

Location: Putnam, Connecticut
Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Assignment: 13 weeks, starting ASAP
• Schedule: 36 hours guaranteed per week (may consider 36-40 hours)
• Shift: 7am-7pm, every other weekend
• Unit: 17 beds total (6 ICU beds, 11 telemetry beds), including 2 vent patient beds
• Shift pattern: 3x12 hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut (temporary license available, processing 10-15 days)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Current certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification
  • NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or must obtain within 3 months of hire
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic monitoring, and related procedures and equipment troubleshooting

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• ICU experience must include recognition and treatment of normal and abnormal cardiac monitoring patterns
• Temporary CT nursing license is accepted for this assignment
