Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Room (Travel)

Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 36 hours/week, rotating shifts
Housing: Shared housing provided at no cost

Required Qualifications

• License: Massachusetts RN License (Mass RN License required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Room nursing (default to higher if discrepancy found; here, 1+ year implied)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Required Compliance and Health Credentials

• FEMA ICS 100 Training (must be completed, no exceptions)
• Primary source verification of professional license and certification within 30 days of start
• N95 Fit Test (within 365 days of start, updated annually; no onsite fit testing)
• Color Vision test (within 365 days of start)
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine (required during flu season, no exemptions)
• TB Test (skin test or blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break)
• Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA (within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break)
• Criminal Background Check (within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break)
• Massachusetts CORI background check (within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break)
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
• MGB Exclusion Checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid exclusion lists)
• MGB SSN Trace (7 years of address/employment/school history)
• National Sex Offender Check (within 30 days of start, updated annually)
• Education Verification (highest level achieved)
• References: 2 references within 4 years, including minimum 1 supervisor or above in skillset

Additional Information

• Must include 7 years of work experience and education history with city & state for submission
• Flu vaccine required for the 2025-2026 flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 15) with no exemptions
• TB positive individuals must provide a negative chest x-ray dated after positive test
• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing or flu vaccine
• Shared housing is provided at no cost for travelers

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs licensed in Massachusetts who are comfortable with rotating shifts and meeting comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
