Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST)

Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Wear appropriate surgical attire.
• Have working knowledge of sepsis and aseptic technique (provided through orientation).
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks including wiping down lights, booms, tables, and cleaning between cases and terminal cleaning.
• Transport patients and beds safely to/from Holding Room and Operating Room.
• Obtain supplies, equipment, or medication promptly.
• Assist in transferring patients to and from the operating room table.
• Assist families to consult rooms when no volunteer is available.
• Stock assigned areas and maintain oxygen and carbon dioxide tanks.
• Perform weekly cleaning of x-ray aprons and storage rooms.
• Uphold confidentiality of patient records and facility operations.
• Participate in professional development and continuing education.
• Work night shifts every weekend; evening/night shift with call as scheduled.
• Must be familiar with Robotics, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and Trauma.

Required Qualifications

• NBSTSA Certification required.
• Specialty: Certified Surgical Technician
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.
