Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) (Days)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) position in Phoenix, AZ. This role requires a highly skilled nurse with a minimum of 24 months of current PACU experience. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center and nationally recognized academic medical center providing advanced specialty care.


Required Qualifications

  • License: Active Arizona or Compact RN license
  • Experience: Minimum 24 months of current PACU experience
  • Certifications:
    • American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • American Heart Association PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Flu Vaccination: Required (declinations accepted with proper documentation)
  • Driver’s License: Required (Note: Candidates with an Arizona driver’s license will NOT be considered)
  • Background: Must meet specific background compliance requirements
  • Travel Experience: Prior travel experience is required

Additional Requirements & Notes

  • Learning modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment
  • Resume must include all facilities, facility size, beds, trauma level, and units worked in
  • Skills checklist specific to PACU discipline must be provided
  • Return to Office (RTO) requests will not be approved within the first week or on holidays and cannot exceed 7 days
  • Start date should be on or very soon after the order start date
  • Candidates must be open to working in multiple departments and shifts as specified in submission
  • Non-billable hours adjusted to 16 hours per assignment
  • Assignment may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty
