Job Details

• Schedule: Thursday through Saturday (Friday-Saturday weekend required)

Required Qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Maryland License
  • CRT or RRT credential
  • Pediatric and NICU experience required (NICU is Level 2)
  • ACLS preferred but not required

• Special Requirements:

  • EPIC system experience required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within the last year, including SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender, and FACIS level 3
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required annually
  • Maryland CJIS/DSS/FBI fingerprinting required for school placements only

• Health & Safety:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (specific mask types preferred)
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific requirements for PPD tests)
  • Required immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year
  • Flu vaccine required (no declinations accepted)

• Competencies & Certifications:

  • BLS required for all positions
  • ACLS recommended for critical care areas
  • Other certifications as applicable (PALS, NRP, TNCC)

• References & Evaluations:

  • Proof of 2 clinical references required
  • Performance evaluation required if worked with the system over 1 year
  • Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Respiratory Therapist with pediatric and NICU experience in Maryland. The position requires a Maryland license, CRT or RRT credential, and EPIC experience. The schedule is Thursday through Saturday with a fixed weekend requirement on Friday and Saturday. Prior travel experience is not required, and first-time travelers are accepted. Compliance with extensive background checks, health screenings, and certifications is mandatory.
