Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/ICU

Location: Jamestown, North Dakota
Employment Type: Traveler - Backfill
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Full-time position, 72 hours per two-week pay period
• 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation, including weekends
• Coordinates total nursing care for patients of all ages using the nursing process
• Provides leadership and collaborates with ancillary nursing and patient care teams
• Procedures include telemetry, dressing changes, ventilators/BIPAP, and IV starts
• Unit has 23 beds (Med/Surg/ICU)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on census and patient needs
• Dress code: Black scrubs
• Orientation: 1 week hospital and department-specific training provided

Equipment Used

• Epic electronic charting system
• Omnicell medication system
• Liko and EZ lifts
• Alaris IV pumps
• Nova Statstrip blood glucose monitoring

Required Qualifications

• Active North Dakota or compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Completion of a basic cardiology class for nurses required
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience required
• Knowledge of cardiac-related medications and rhythm analysis
• Experience caring for BIPAP patients

Additional Requirements

• Flu shot is required
