Job Opportunity: MRI Tech - Radiology

Location: Largo, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in the MRI unit at a hospital with 425 beds and a small MRI staff (2 techs).
• Unit uses GE 1.5T MRI equipment.
• EMR system: Meditech.
• Shifts: Day shift has 1 weekday tech and 1 weekend tech; no evening shifts currently staffed but evening shifts are preferred.
• Patient ratios: No direct patient care ratios (MRI tech role).
• Typical procedures: Brain, Abdomen, Spine, Extremity MRIs.
• Must be comfortable working alone and able to take call 1-2 nights per week.
• Supportive management style with freedom to complete patient schedules within policy.
• Patient transport available to bring floor patients to MRI.
• Proximity to beach and major cities for lifestyle benefits.

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year.
• ARRT (MR) Certification.
• BLS Certification.
• Understanding of hazardous drug risks per USP 800.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
• Preference for evening shift availability.
