Job Opportunity: Travel Labor & Delivery RN

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care in Labor & Delivery. Responsibilities include:

• Labor and circulate for vaginal deliveries (circulating for cesarean preferred)
• Attend deliveries and support newborn resuscitation
• Recover vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Care for antepartum patients requiring L&D care
• Monitor and assist laboring patients, communicate with providers
• Circulate in OR for cesarean sections
• Triage patients 20 weeks gestation and up

Shift Details

• Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other week (EOW)
• Call required: 2 twelve-hour call shifts every 6 weeks (one must be a weekend shift)
• Floating required between departments in the Women's Pavilion

Unit Information

• Patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient acuity
• Number of beds in unit: 13
• EMR systems used: CPN (GE) and Cerner
• Scrub color: Navy blue

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP)
• Minimum 2 completed travel assignments in Labor & Delivery
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
