Description

Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Operating Room (Travel Assignment)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) with experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) for a travel assignment. The role involves working in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with a focus on critical care and preoperative support.

Required Qualifications

CVOR Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
Completion of 2 prior travel assignments
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Work Environment & Schedule

Unit: Cardiovascular Pre-Op, 4 beds, 1:1 patient ratio
Staffing support includes RNs, CNC, secretary, and manager shared with CVOR
Equipment: GE Carescape Monitoring, Fuji ultrasound
Documentation system: Cerner
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
On-call: Required to stay late 1-2 times per week
Floating: Within scope of practice and experience

Additional Information

Critical care experience is a must; preoperative experience is a plus
Provided uniform required
The unit is equipped with advanced technology and staffed by experienced personnel
Emphasis on teamwork and high-quality patient care in a recognized hospital setting
