Job Opportunity: RN - Post Partum/Mom Baby (Travel)

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Dayshift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), rotating weekends, no call

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Antepartum/Postpartum
• Number of Beds: 24
• Number of Staff: 26 (including 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1 clerk during day; no PCTs at night)
• Patient Ratios: Typically 3:1 and 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity
• EMR Systems: Meditech and CPN

Typical Procedures Performed

• Non-stress tests
• Hyperemesis management
• Insulin drips
• Magnesium administration
• Heparin drips

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Post Partum experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• NRP certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Labor & Delivery or Antepartum experience

Work Environment & Culture

• Teamwork-oriented with good communication skills essential
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
• No call responsibilities
• Rotating weekends
