Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Boone, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position: Cath Lab RN
• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday with varying days off and on-call duties
• Required Skills:

  • Moderate Sedation
  • Cath Lab circulating RN experience
• EMR System: EPIC (recent experience/proficiency required)
• Dress Code: Scrubs must be all navy or all white
• Local Rule: Candidates residing less than 40 miles from the facility are not eligible

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Moderate Sedation experience
• Experience with Epic EMR system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) for address verification
• Background Check:

  • 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually
  • Must include all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Additional criminal history investigation if background check returns a hit
• E-Verify or Attestation
• NURSYS Verification (for all RNs)
• Photo for badge (passport style, shoulders up, front facing, plain background)
• Self-Study Orientation and Post Test (must be completed and re-completed after any contract break)
• Accountability Statements and Personal Data Sheet (must be signed and re-completed after any contract break)
• Physical Exam: Initial and annual update required, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations and Titers (within 5 years or as specified):

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or titer; Zoster/Shringrix not accepted)
• Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved Medical/Religious Exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 30)
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Employment Application/Resume
• Skills Checklist (updated annually)
• Performance and Internal Evaluations if applicable (based on prior work history with the system)

Additional Notes

• Candidates must provide a driver’s license for address verification before any offer acceptance.
• Prior travel experience is mandatory for this role.
