Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekends: Every other weekend (EOW) as needed
• Holidays: As needed
• Floating: May be asked to float to rehab if needed

Job Description

• Position in a Pre-Screen Unit; candidates will undergo clinical review for fit and compliance with guidelines before manager interview and final decision.
• May care for COVID-19 patients.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Required Licenses

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
  • Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting within 1 year of start (can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)
  • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search within 1 year of start (must be finalized prior to start)
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search within 5 years of start (can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)
• Education Verification: Highest level of education must be verified
• Employment History: Most recent resume/application required
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years
• Skills Checklist: Required annually
• Performance Evaluation: Completed onsite during assignment
• Photo for badge: Passport-style, professional photo required

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days (PPD not accepted)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles) - 2 doses or positive titer
  • Mumps - 2 doses or positive titer
  • Rubella - 2 doses or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B - Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
  • Varicella - 2 doses or positive titer
• Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (requirement for agency only, not facility)
• Respiratory Safety Clearance within 1 year, renewed annually

Additional Requirements

• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (required for all RNs except OR and Home Health)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
• Completion of WellSpan Health LMS modules and New Hire Orientation by first day of assignment

• Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
• No call requirements

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with EPIC experience looking for a night shift travel assignment in a hospital setting with a focus on telemetry and medical-surgical care.
