Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Dyersburg, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday
• On-Call: Every other weekend, Saturday 24 hours and Sunday 24 hours

Required Qualifications

• Ultrasound Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Recent Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience as an Ob/Gyn Sonographer
• Experience as a Vascular Sonographer
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic EMR system

Required Documents & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Background check within 30 days of start, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• N95 Fit Mask test within 1 year of start (no PAPR allowed)
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Immunizations:

  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (no declinations accepted)
  • COVID vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella vaccinations or positive titers with boosters as needed
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Complete employment application/resume
• Skills checklist as applicable to specialty

Additional Notes

• EPIC test-out required for all candidates (one attempt only; failure results in contract cancellation)
• Locals and first-time travelers accepted equally
• Must comply with facility appearance standards and safety manual acknowledgments

This position is ideal for Ultrasound Technologists with solid experience in OB, general, and vascular ultrasound, who are comfortable working with PACS, Philips systems, and Epic EMR. The role requires flexibility for on-call weekends and adherence to strict compliance and immunization standards.
