Job Opportunity: RRT Float (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)

Location: Anderson, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM
  • Work Settings: Adult Acute Care, ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, L&D
  • Floating Requirement: Must float to different hospital areas such as ED, ICU, CCU, General Medical Floors
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate
  • First-time Travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • Experience working with Adult patients

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Proof of I9 or Attestation
  • Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and international background check if applicable
  • Transcript or diploma as applicable
  • State license primary source verification
  • Color blindness test (Ishihara)
  • Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
  • Annual fit mask test (N95 or equivalent)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as per facility requirements
  • Immunizations or titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
  • Completed employment application/resume

Additional Information

  • Floating to multiple hospital units is required
  • Candidates must complete facility-specific online orientation and acknowledge safety manuals
  • Photo for badge required (no visible nose piercings allowed)
  • Stroke education and acknowledgment required for candidates working over one year at the facility

This position offers a night shift travel opportunity for RRTs with a minimum of 2 years of experience, flexible floating assignments, and comprehensive certification and compliance requirements.
