Job Opportunity: MS/Tele Float Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Clinton, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position: MS/Tele Float RN
• Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Float responsibilities within skillset/acuity
• Community hospital experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of float nursing experience, including float experience within the last year
• ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in an acute care setting

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• Physical exam confirming ability to perform job duties without accommodations
• Immunizations and health documentation including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • Documentation of MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B status
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Valid driver’s license if driving is an essential job function
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and competency exams (e.g., medication test, dysrhythmia/EKG competency)
• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years

Work Environment & Expectations

• Float role requiring flexibility to work in multiple units within MS/Tele specialty
• Community hospital setting
• Must be available for every other weekend shifts
• Locals within 60 miles may be accepted at a different rate (not applicable here)

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with prior travel experience who are comfortable working in telemetry and medical-surgical float roles in a community hospital setting.
